Choosing the Right Internal Drywall Metal for Your Project

When it comes to drylining, the performance of your walls and partitions depends heavily on the quality of the internal drywall metal you choose. Whether you’re working on commercial, residential, or industrial projects, selecting the right components ensures durability, fire and acoustic performance, and ease of installation.

At Stud Track and Ceiling Supplies (STCS), we supply a comprehensive range of drywall metal sections and accessories, with stock levels ready for quick delivery direct to site. Here’s what you need to know when choosing the best solution for your project.

Types of Internal Drywall Metal

Different projects require different systems. Our most popular products include:

  • Metal Studs: Available in various widths, ideal for partitions of different performance levels. They provide a lightweight but strong framework for plasterboard.
  • U-Track: Works in conjunction with metal studs, providing the base and head channel for secure installation.
  • Furring Channels & Ceiling Sections: Essential for suspended ceilings and wall lining systems.
  • High Bay Wall Sections: Heavier gauge drywall metal designed to support extra tall partitions with strength and stability.

Fire & Acoustic Performance

Choosing the right drywall metal system is not just about structure – it’s also about performance. All STCS systems come with full fire and acoustic certification, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and delivering peace of mind for architects, contractors, and developers.
